The Old Chapel Textile Centre in Newbury, home of the National Needlework Archive, offer courses, workshops and exhibitions in sewing, haberdashery,  needlecraft, textiles, embroidery, cross stitch, quilting and textile art. Our shop carries an extensive range of all needlework and sewing products including fabric, threads, wool, zips and patterns. We have an archive of historic textiles and patterns and are home to The Country Wife mural.

Old Chapel Textile Centre Tea Room

The tea room is deep in the heart of the building surrounded by needlecraft items, we can offer you some  light refreshment while  you are visiting.

We sell wonderful homemade cake and biscuits along with fresh ground coffee and a variety of teas.

The tea room is open 10.30am -3.30pm  Tuesday to Thursday and the 1st Saturday on the month.

If you wish to  book  a group visit to include lunch or afternoon tea  please do so in advance so we can have the  refreshments ready for you.

The tea room, like the rest of the activities is run by volunteers, so  group  bookings are better served if we know you are coming.
