The National Needlework Archive was funded by the Millennium Commission to make a record of all community textile pieces made to celebrate the Millennium. These pieces of textile art, some small, some very large, are generally housed in public buildings of some description. They are beautiful and important ‘documents’ of history and social comment. Nearly a thousand works have been recorded and the NNA is still recording pieces not yet included. If you know of a textile project, made to celebrate the Millennium, do contact the NNA.
