National Needlework Archive

The NNA Research Library

The NNA keeps a research library of books, magazines, instruction leaflets, dress and knitting patterns and other documents relating to any textile technique. If you have any unwanted books on sewing, embroidery, quilting, knitting, weaving, lacework, laundry or household skills, however new or old they may be, please donate them to this library.

The archive records cover textiles across Britain (see other pages) and includes a growing collection of biographies relating to textile workers, artists, and teachers of textiles.

The library and collection are at present available for study by appointment. It is hoped that it will become more accessible to the general public in the future when we are able to move to new premises.

The National Needlework Archive is a Registered Charity - No. 1109930
